CALLING ALL POP PICKERS!
I know that vinyl is a thing again at the moment but some of us grew up with a ‘record collection’.
Selecting a disc, carefully removing it from the sleeve and placing it lovingly on the turntable was all part of the magic as was dropping the needle in exactly the right spot to start playing your favourite track. Simple pleasures. Small wins.
My print is a whimsical nod to the nostalgia of the vinyl record. Featuring tracks such as the ‘Joss Bay Jive’ and ‘Birchington Blues’ this is a Thanet Loop special edition press.
This design is a nod to those early independent colourful record labels and will hopefully bring back fond memories of listening to your record collection in your bedroom and being shouted at by your Mum to ‘turn that racket down'.
Those of us of a certain age will remember exactly what was the first ‘record’ they bought. Mine was ‘I don’t like Mondays’ by The Boomtown Rats from the record department at ‘Bearmans’ in Leytonstone. Epic.
